Chromatin states have been characterized with great detail. Here we explored transcription of developmental regulated genes in the context of chromatin. We found that these genes are expressed in the absence of canonically active histone modifications and possibly under stronger regulation of transcription factors.
Using a broad panel of human cell lines we also identified a subset of exons whose inclusion level is strongly correlated with the presence of some chromatin features. These exons are in close proximity of active promoters. |
